Welcome to Renegade Designs, web design and e-commerce solutions.
I also like sites that flow, something that resizes nicely as your window does. This is however, a personal thing, you may feel differently. In fact if you look at my portfolio, you'll see a variety of designs. There may be preferences, but there are no rules, it really is up to you, although keeping your target audience in mind is always a good idea.
Ultimately the look and feel of your site will be up to you, but my advice is always going to be, keep it simple. When someone visits your site, there isn't long to get their attention so they are going to need to know what you do and how to find their way around almost instantly. It makes for a comfortable, stress-free visit and will almost guarantee they will be back. This doesn't mean that your site has to be basic, it can be as sophisticated as you like. However, this is not likely to be something your visitor is going to care about, all that stuff can be kept in the background, which is where I come in.
It's not the easiest thing to spout on about this stuff because you're always wondering what others may think. However, over a decade in user interface design, has given me the necessary feedback to know what works best. I think I'm right (as I do about most things!) , but I would like to know what you think. So if you've got this far, please feel free to drop me a line and tell me. I can take it,
